While my geological interests are almost exclusively related to Paleontology, it is near impossible to live in Michigan and not become generally interested in Geology. Throughout our travels in the State, particularly in the upper peninsula, my wife, Julie, and I have accumulated a small mineral and rock collection which we limit to those found in the Michigan. While a few of these specimens are biogenic in nature, most are not directly related to Paleontology.
