Welcome to my Fossil Collection Website
This site features most of the specimens in my fossil collection. My collection is primarily focused on the Fossils of the Rochester Shale and the Michigan Basin. However, my paleo interest is quite general and thus, I have specimens from all Geologic Ages and from across the world. The site can be navigated by the links above. It is intended to be viewed as a book, page by page. Images can be enlarged by clicking on the “thumbnails.” Depending on the device you can adjust images with “pinch and zoom” or other touch interface. Mobile devices will provide less options but I have noticed that the entire thumbnail grid can be expanded, if so desired, instead of viewing images individually. Also, you should be able to “long press” any single thumbnail which should bring up a menu allowing the option to open the image in a separate tab. That image will allow full pinch and zoom.
In addition to my own collection, I have created sections for the collections of a few others, as indicated in the Links above.
This is definitely an unending work in progress! Updates, corrections and additions will be a never ending project.
This site is not intended for commerce or profit of any kind. Nearly all of the images were created by me. If you wish to use them please ask first. I have also incorporated images created by others or the occasional specimen from another collection to help provide context and information beyond merely posting pictures. I have tried to provide credit and links (move your mouse onto an image to find a link) to the various other collectors, creators and artists or other sites of interest. If there is something of yours that is not properly noted and/or credited (and linked if possible), please contact me to make corrections.
